I only just found your message. I have to say that publishers work on the principle that they have the core audience, but they need to capture the maybes!

This blurb was based on a text I sent to them, and it has been given the PR treatment. In some good ways, too.

I see where you are coming from on some of your points, but I would argue that the "connection" to modern terrorism is a valid one. You will be glad to know that I do not make much of it in the book, it gets a mention in the blurb so that the book seems relevant, topical, even. Perhaps it is overdone, but it is valid. The attempt on the First Consul's life was much more than a targeted assassination. They knew they were going to kill civilians. They opted for Christmas Eve in central Paris rather than the quiet road to Malmaison. They were terrorists.
