Royal Regiment of Horse Guards

Cornet in 1805 without purchase

Lieutenant in 1806 without purchase

Captain in 1809 by purchase

Retired by sale of his commission November 1813

Served in the Peninsula November 1812 – November 1813

Entry in Making Men: The Formation of Elite Male Identities in England, c.1660-1900: A Source Book edited by Mark Rothery, Henry French page xxx, has errors, as he was neither in the Life Guards nor at Waterloo.

He is also not to be confused with Colonel Thomas Parker Cheshire Militia.
