Tirol 1809, French troops.

On 11 April, a column of 2,500 French troops, commanded by General Count Baptiste-Pierre-Francois Bisson, marching up from Italy into Germany, approached the entry to the Puster valley, but did not go to the aid of the Bavarians, preferring to save his own skin by marching briskly on northwards.
Just after this, an Austrian Jaeger and 20 cavalrymen of Chasteler`s force, arrived to bolster the peasants attacking the Bavarians at the bridge. On the evening of 11 - 12 April, Wreden abandoned his attempt to destroy the bridge and morched off in the direction of Sterzing.
`In the meantime, a second column of French troops, under General Lemoine had arrived in Brixen. When the news of the disaster at the Ladritsch bridge reached him there, he promptly turned around and headed back to Bozen.`
This is an Austrian account of events; I find General Bisson, but not General Lemoine; has the name been corrupted?
