Hi,

So, it looks as Lecor did exactly whas he was told to do, but with a hint of excess of zeal, perhaps.
Also, Lecor, after having the command of the 7th division, went on to command the Portuguese Division, and came home leading all the Portuguese troops. We might say that Lecor was Beresford's top pupil and the face of the increasing quality of the Portuguese forces under Wellington. I can't stop sensing a sort of political statement here, among other things...
