Dumas claimed to have witnessed as a child Napoleon setting off for Waterloo and returning in the aftermath. He makes no bones about hero worshipping Bonaparte at that time. His " Revolution of 1830" is very interesting as he was an active participant. However, his fictional accounts of his father's period are full of inaccuracies and license and can not be relied upon.
