Luisa San Felice gave away a Royalist plot against the Republic in Naples and was one of many executed when the monarchy was restored. There seems to have been some sympathy for her - I think she acted to protect her lover or something like that.
The short and violent existence of the Parthenopean Republic was something even Dumas would not have needed to exaggerate! No novelist could have invented Emma Hamilton. :-)
