Dominique Jean Larrey was Napoleon's Chief Physician, and instituted radical changes in the ambulance system, which improved system with 2 and 4 wheel horse-drawn wagons (with litter bodies sprung from the wagon chassis to reduce the shock to the wounded patient) was first used by Napoleon's Army of the Rhine in 1793.

I presume this is a typo. Can you just clarify this.
