I have not seen anything definite about the medical arrangements in 1805. I know they had field dressing stations and I know they evacuated the wounded from the field the day after the battle. I also know the evacuation was very slow and had to be covered by a rearguard of hussars while the rest of the division moved off.
I am hoping to discover more about the medical services when I study the 1806 campaign. In that campaign I have already seen one of the 9th's surgeon-majors was placed in control of the medical services of Dupont's division but have yet had the oppertunity to study the matter in detail. I don't know what influence Larrey had on these arrangements.
I have my papers for the 1806 campaign lined up for January coming and will feedback to the forum then.
