Yes, I know the 1812 Regulations, but I didn't see anything referring to lines of command [or command of lines] in my perusal. I can certainly see regiments and/or lines being the inter-brigade organization, but in 1813 and 1814, the brigade organization could have as many as seven or eight separate regiments represented by one or two battalions, so 'regimental' commands wouldn't seem to be an optimal command structure. IF we are talking about the three lines represented in the diagrams with the Regulations, then who exactly commanded each line--or was that a brigadier's choice?
