Just to muddy the waters 8)

I did a check of the Gold Medal recipients, of the 2nd Division, for Albuera. I did not find an officer who specifically received a medal for commanding a light battalion there. Now it could be an error of omission, as Lieutenant Colonel Daniel White 29th Foot was returned as wounded at Albuera, but not shown as receiving the GM for Albuera as late as 1852.

Circumstantial, some sources name Captain James Wilson, 48th Foot, as commanding a light bn there, but this could be a mis-reading of his notice in the yearly army lists.
