Would you, by any chance, have anything a little more contemporary to the events, or more eye-witness-ish, or less biased than the conde de Toreno that provides evidence that the maréchal Soult was a looter ?
I think it is not impossible that he was looter, but I just havent found anything like reasonably convincing evidence to that effect .... "all Europe knows" in 1865 being just a tad close to "N (and his minions) are bad" in terms of lack of detail.
