I was just loking for where the stories about Soult and looting started. I found them first in source who was not an eyewitness, who was not at any archives and who was quite biased and who wrote about 1830.

If Soult was really a big thief, I think we could get a little more on him than I found, without it rising to the level of evidence found in a court case.
