British subsidies to Russia in 1813 and beyond were absolutely essential for the Russians to remain in the field. The same applies to the Prussians and Austrians. Russia was exhausted financially after the 1812 campaign which might be one of the reasons that Kutusov was against advancing into Europe proper at the end of the campaign.
