Just wondering what the views are on Donald Horward's thesis (and I am paraphrasing from notes of talks he gave in London and Southampton two years ago) that Napoleon's inability to occupy the Iberian Peninsula and shut down operations there ultimately contributed to his downfall as he was unable to enforce the continental system and was forced to fight on two fronts.
Thank-you,
John
