I was wondering whether you think it possible that Napoleon underestimated the importance of the Peninsula war, and if that is, perhaps, reflected in subsequent French history of the period.
On the other hand, I have to concede that when at school, which is many years ago when British children were taught British history, the Napoleonic Wars in central and eastern Europe received hardly a mention.
As for the Welsh, Scots and Irish, do not worry, they are not important
