In the Continental System Portugal will certanly lose is colonies and is commerce to Great Britan... specially Brasil and that would be the imediate downfall of the portuguese economic system (at least). But the political, economic and social changes caused by the migration of the portuguese court to Brasil and the peninsular war led to the brasilian independence and the end of that colonial based economic system.
