I never stated that Napoleon was "only" to blame for the millions of deaths that occurred during his deadly career, but, in the history of war, Napoleon certainly stands near the top of the list for having blood on their hands.
Here’s what you posted:
Napoleon ended up as an international pariah and criminal, with the blood of millions on his hands, imprisoned on a cold, isolated rock, surrounded by nothing but his cronies, with the added disgrace of having his wife and child taken from him. He is completely and singularly guilty of starting wars in 1812,1813,1814. There was no more war-like leader in Europe than Napoleon. It's a fact that he was guilty of having the blood of millions on his hands.
Did you have anyone else in mind? Seems to me that you’re blaming Napoleon, and Napoleon only, for the wars from 1799-1815. And nothing could be further from historical fact.
It is, however, an accurate reflection of the ‘John Bull’ version of the history of the period.
