By the end of the Napoleonic Wars the British Empire had grown to over two million square miles of territory. Between 1815 and 1914 it grew by further 10,000,00o sq. miles and an additional 400 million people. Of course, the British weren't "insane war mongers", and all those people wanted to be robbed or assimilated, because it's only wrong when Napoleon did it.
