I think you quoted this book during the great debate as to whether or not the French army committed g***cide in the Iberian Peninsula some 2 or so years ago. If I recall rightly, and I may well not, the orders were not that strong and there was something else about them that was problematic.
However, dig them out by all means and we will compare thems side by side with Wellington's GOs on the treatment of allied and French civilians.
